CHANDIGARH: Six deaths and 355 new cases were reported in
Haryana on Tuesday, taking the state's tally past 5,000-mark. The death toll in the stat reached 45 while the total number of cases reported so far have mounted to 5,209. 107 patients were discharged and Haryana now has a total 3,357 active cases.
Notably, a total of 3,057 cases have been reported in past 10 days, and the majority of them are from NCR districts. Even on Tuesday, the
NCR districts of
Gurugram,
Faridabad, Sonipat, Rohtak, Palwal and Rewari etc dominated in the total count as the state saw at least 14 new cases every hour in past 24 hours.
While two deaths each were reported from Gurugram and Faridabad, one each were reported from Rohtak and Sonipat districts. Around 50 persons are reported to be critical and are on oxygen support and ventilator support in various hospitals across the state.
Gurugram continues to top the table with 164 new cases where total count has gone upto 2329. Gurugram is followed by Faridabad with 41 cases and total has gone upto 814. 38 cases have come from Sonipat and 28 cases have been reported from Rohtak.
15 cases have been reported from Rewari, 13 from Palwal and 12 from Jind district. Nine cases have been reported from Hisar and seven each have come from Bhiwani and Panchkula.Five cases have come from
Yamunanagar, Four cases have come from Mahendergarh and three each have come from Karnal, Kurukshetra and Ambala districts. One case each has come from Jhajjar, Panipat and Fatehabad.
The increased number has once again disturbed the recovery rate which has come down to 34.69 on Tuesday. The
Covid-19 positive rate has gone to 3.50% of the total testing and fatality rate has gone to 0.86%.
With the testing rate going upto 6,063 tests per million per day, till Tuesday a total 15,3692 persons had been tested so far. Out of them 14,3513 are found to be negative.
As many as 49,041 persons have completed the quarantine so far and now Haryana has total 32,424 persons in quarantine.
