JD(U) president and Bihar chief minister Nitish KumarPATNA: JD(U) president and chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said he fulfilled whatever promises he had made to people of Bihar before coming into power in 2005.
While addressing his party’s district-level virtual workers’ sammelan through a video app, Nitish said he had promised to provide “development with justice” to the people before taking oath as the CM in November 2005. “Now I have completed this and other promises by successfully implementing scores of schemes in the last 15 years to ensure proper development of disadvantaged groups like backward, dalit and tribal, elevation of the social status of women as well as welfare of minorities while maintaining social harmony,” he said.
