The appeal is listed on June 9 before the division bench, comprising Justice Pankaj Jaiswal and Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh. It is filed by Examination Regularity Authority (ERA) on behalf of the state.
In its appeal, the ERA has pleaded that the single judge order was unwarranted and illegal.
It may be noted that the single judge bench of Justice Alok Mathur on June 3 stayed the selection process, prima facie finding that certain questions and answers were ambiguous and wrong and hence it required fresh scrutiny by the UGC.
