Where should I invest for the higher education of my four-year-old daughter?

Dhirendra Kumar sheds light on investing for a child's higher education

I want to invest about Rs 2,500 every month for my daughter's higher education. She is currently 4 years. Which investment option would you recommend?

There are two things that come to my mind. If you are a first-time investor, then go for an aggressive hybrid fund. After at least three years of making this investment, you can consider moving to an all-equity fund.

The other thing, which is not solicited as a question, but I would want to mention is although Rs 2500 a month is a good start, try to increase it every year. It's important not to think in terms of constant. The result can be dramatically different and impressive.
