An official said that the availability of ramadasivir medicine in the Indian market may take some time. The regulator company has asked for several figures from pharmaceutical companies. He told that the trial of this medicine will be on fast-track, so once it is approved, it will take less than a month.
Five Indian pharmaceutical companies have applied for approval to the Drug Controller General of India. In India, the drug remadecivir has been approved for use during treatment with Kovid-19. These five Indian companies have signed a license agreement with Gilead Science to manufacture and distribute the Remedesivir drug in 127 countries.
However, the drug regulator has allowed Gilead Science to export and sell medicines in India. A senior official of the Central Drug Standards Control Organization said that these five companies have asked for documents such as studies on animal poisoning, regularity studies, and test licenses.
According to Gilead's data, clinical trials can be avoided. Asked by the authorities that the Maharashtra government is taking 10,000 Remedesivir medicine vials from Bangladesh, he replied that we have given permission to buy the medicine only from Gilead Science. If medicines are coming from anywhere else, then it is illegal.
While local companies say that they have everything from raw material to stockpile for making medicines, the regulator does not have the approval to manufacture medicines.
