Coronavirus LIVE updates: India has registered over 9,983 new coronavirus cases in a single day, taking its spot as the 5th worst-hit nation across the world, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The total coronavirus cases in India now stand at 260,093, and as many as 7,263 have died from the disease so far. The Union Health Ministry on Monday asked officials of 45 civic bodies across 38 districts in 10 states, that are witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases, to focus on house-to-house surveys and carry out prompt testing.
Coronavirus world update: The global tally of coronavirus cases stands at 7,126,058 and 406,838 people have died from the disease so far.
