41 test +ve for Covid in Noida, 32 in Ghaziabad

Noida/Ghaziabad: In a span of one week, Noida has recorded yet another major jump in Covid-19 cases on Sunday. After May 31 - when 48 persons were found positive - the district saw another rise of 41 cases.
With this, the total number of positive cases in Gautam Budh Nagar stands at 632. Meanwhile, 413 patients have recovered until now.
Among the latest cases, five were from Sector 40, including two women aged 20 and 22, a 12-year-old girl, a 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy. Three cases were reported from sectors 21 and 22 each and two cases from sectors 26, 49, 62 and 63 each. Also, cases were reported from highrises like Cherry County, Panchsheel Green in Greater Noida among others.
Also, 10 patients were discharged from Sharda Hospital, 16 from Government Institute of Medical Science (GIMS) and five patients from Kailash Hospital Greater Noida. Notably, a 94-year-old man was discharged from hospital late on Sunday night Meanwhile, 32 persons, including a government doctor, were added to Ghaziabad’s tally of Covid-19 patients on Sunday.
Officials said the woman doctor, who works at MMG District Hospital, was found positive on Saturday and has been admitted to the ESIC hospital. Besides the doctor, a nurse and two other employees of the hospital have also been found positive in the past couple of days. The total number of cases in the district stands at 474.
Also, a Covid-19 positive patient and a resident of Ghaziabad was allegedly brought dead to district hospital in Noida. “The district surveillance officer (DSO) Ghaziabad has been informed of the case,” said Dr Sunil Dohare DSO GB Nagar.
