COVID-19 cases in Delhi mount to over 29K; death toll climbs to 874, with 27 fatalities

NEW DELHI: Delhi recorded 1,007 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday taking the COVID-19 tally in the city to over 29,000-mark, and the death toll due to the disease mounted to 874, authorities said.
Sixty-two COVID-19 deaths took place in Delhi from May 30 to June 6, and 27 of these fatalities occurred on June 5, they said.
The highest spike of 1,513 fresh cases was recorded on June 3.

It, however, added the cumulative death figures refer to fatalities where the primary cause of death was found to be COVID-19, as per the report of the Death Audit Committee on the basis of case-sheets received from various hospitals.
