
Darwin T20 Cricket League 2020 Highlights: WCC skipper Isaac Conway remained unbeaten for 42 runs from 46 deliveries to help his side win the final by three wickets with 17 balls to spare. WCC suffered a batting collapse in the middle overs as spinners Matt Hammond and Dean Fry took four and two wickets respectively. Conway’s innings had four boundaries. He held his nerves despite wickets falling at the other end in the low-scoring affair.
Earlier Southern Districts failed to score big in the final against Waratah Cricket Club in the first innings. Just two boundaries were scored in the innings as Southern Districts managed to post 91/9 after a major batting collapse. The most productive over of the innings was the final over where 12 runs were scored.
The three-day T20 tournament which started on June 6 featured a round-robin format including 15 games. The six other teams which participated in the tournament were Palmerston, Darwin, Tracy Village, Nightcliff, PINT and Invitational XI. The matches were played at Marrara Cricket Ground, Gardens Oval and Cazaly’s Oval.

Corey Kelly back into the attack. The fast bowlers have not been too tough to face. FOUR! Samindra Madushan gets one in the middle of the bat and finds the gap. He reaches double figures. WCC - 78/6 after 15 overs, Target - 92
Samindra Madushan is the new batsman in. Madushan has been sensible so far as the required run rate is very well under control. Isaac Conway needs someone to partner alongside him in the run chase. 5 runs from Dean Fry's third over. WCC - 72/6 after 14 overs
