Man accused of raping woman for seven years

Rajkot: A 30-year-old widow has lodged a rape complaint against a resident of Marwadinagar in Raiyadhar locality of Rajkot on Saturday night.
The complainant alleged that the accused Bharat Vanzara had raped her several times in the past seven years.
“Vanzara had made physical relationship with the survivor after promising to marry her. However after Vanzara reneged on his promise, the survivor lodged a complaint against him,” said an official from University police station.
During her relationship with Vanzara, the survivor became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter.
