Now complete information of urban street vendors in one click

Covid-19 pandemic has adversely affected the employment and livelihood of urban street vendors. With a view to linking them with re-employment and compile their complete information, the Shahari Asangathit Kamgar Ekikrat Portal has been prepared. After registration, complete information about the street vendors will be available in one click. The registration drive will continue till June 25.
In order to compile information about all the street vendors in the portal by the Urban Development and Housing Department, the beneficiaries will be registered on the basis of the survey conducted in the year 2012. The information of traders registered in each urban area, in the year 2012 may be more or less. In this, the names of old traders who are no longer working may be deleted, and new names will be added on the basis of availability. In this way, the information of all the street traders presently available in the urban area has to be recorded. Ward wise teams formed
Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Nitesh Vyas has instructed the concerned officials to run a campaign for registration of street vendors till June 25. Ward-wise teams will be formed for registration in urban bodies. Registration can be done free of cost in all offices of Urban Development and Housing Department or in MP online kiosks.
Benefits from portal
Information of all eligible beneficiaries will be saved in the portal. Through the portal, beneficiaries will be given timely benefit of various schemes with transparency. By having a complete database of beneficiaries, better schemes can be made for them. Also, the work done by them can be monitored.
Process of registration
Eligible beneficiaries will be able to register themselves on the basis of Aadhaar and Samagra IDs on www.mpurban.gov.in. The beneficiary’s mobile number should be linked to the Aadhaar number, on which the OTP can be obtained. The eligible beneficiary will certify information about himself. After applying for registration, the beneficiary will be sent a confirmation message via SMS. The beneficiary will receive a reference number, which he can use in future to find out the status of his application.
