A 19-month-old girl was killed on Saturday evening after she was run over in a driveway in Bayswater.

Police said they were called to a Walter Road East home about 5.15pm following reports a car had run over a child.

St John Ambulance and police attended the address, where they discovered the girl had been killed.

A police spokeswoman said the death was not being treated as suspicious and officers would prepare a report for the coroner.
