NDA will come back to power in Bihar with two-thirds majority under Nitish: Shah

New Delhi: Addressing the first virtual rally called ‘Bihar Samvad’, home minister Amit Shah expressed confidence that NDA will return to power in the state under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

This assumes significance as LJP, one of NDA’s allies, has been raising questions over the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

“Both Nitish ji and Sushil Modi ji are poor in advertising. They do their work silently without making noise. Under their leadership, Bihar has done really well,” Shah added.

A strong endorsement from Shah would be a relief for Nitish Kumar as the NDA partners are preparing for the upcoming assembly elections.

Shah said the ‘virtual rally’ has no relation with the upcoming elections and was just an attempt to reach out to people. “It is for connecting crores of people to boost their spirit for the fight against coronavirus,” he said.

Though it was a virtual rally, the party made arrangements to make it look like a real one. Along with Shah, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, RK Singh, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey, and BJP leaders Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Shahnawaz Hussain sat on the stage in Delhi.

A similar stage was set up at the party office in Patna, where deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Bihar BJP president Sanjay Jaiswal sat along with other state BJP leaders.

“This is not a time to talk about elections, but I am confident that NDA will return to power with twothirds majority in Bihar under Nitish Kumar,” Shah said. Recognising the efforts of the Bihari migrant labourers, Shah said they have served with their sweat to develop different parts of the country. S

hah also talked about how the country has been successfully battling the Covid-19 pandemic under the leadership of PM Modi.
