KALYAN: In a major major relief for residents of Kalyan-Dombivli on Sunday, a total of 150
Covid-19 patients were discharged from different hospitals.
If health officials are to be believed, then it is first time when such a large numbers of patients have been discharged in 24 hours. Earlier, the maximum number of Covid-19 patients discharged in the area was 50 .
Pratibha Panpatil, health officer of
Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation said, "Most of the patients who got discharged are asymptomatic patients who completed their 10-day treatment at
Covid-19 care centre situated in Tata Amantra". Panpatil further said, "These patients have been asked to remain in home quarantine for seven days as per government's guidelines".
27 new cases were reported from the region in last 24 hours while three patients died - all above 60yrs of age - making total 40 death so far in the region.
