In two days, 22 people die of Covid-19 in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: Nine persons died while 262 others were tested positive for Covid-19 in the state bringing the tally to 10,599 on Sunday.
Six deaths happened in Jaipur, which took the city’s toll to 112, while one fatality was reported from Baran, which was the third death of the district. Sawai Madhopur witnessed its fifth fatality, while one person died, who belonged to other state. With nine deaths, the toll stands at 240 in the state.
In Jaipur, in the past two days, 10 persons have died of Covid-19, while in the state, the fatalities in two days is 22.
Districts which reported new cases are Jodhpur (81), Bharatpur (63), Jaipur (38), Sikar (11), Nagaur (9), Tonk (6), Kota (6), Sirohi (5), Dausa (5), Chittorgarh (4), Pali (4), Bhilwara (4), Dholpur (3), Jhunjhunu (3), Ajmer (2), Churu (2) and six from other states. One case each was reported from Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Bundi, Sriganganagar, Jalore, Jhalawar, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur and Udaipur.
In Jaipur, 26 different areas reported 38 cases. The areas which reported new cases are Shastri Nagar (5), Sanganer (4), Amber (3), Mansarovar (2), SMS hospital (2), Govidngarh (2), while one each case was reported from Vaishali Nagar, Hasanpura, Harmada, Chandpole, Mahesh Nagar, Jhotwara, Civil Lines, Kotputli, Ghat Gate, Ramganj, Jyoti Nagar, Gangapole, Transport Nagar, Bassi, Jhalana, Riddhi Siddhi Chauraha, Tonk Road, Dudu, Jagatpura and Malviya Nagar.
As many as 253 persons have been recovered taking the tally of such recovered persons to 7754. The number of migrants tested positive for Covid-19 has increased to 3,040.
Health minister Raghu Sharma said that the recovery rate has increased to 73.2%. Out of 10,385 Covid-19 cases, 73.2% have been recovered. He said that the state is at the third spot in the list of states having done the highest number of Covid-19 tests with over 5lakh tests. Cases are doubling in 21 days and the death rate is recorded at 2.2%.
