Punjab’s SOPs for malls, hotels, places of worship

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government on Saturday issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) for places of worship, hotels and shopping malls, which have been allowed to open from Monday. These guidelines are in addition to instructions issued by the Union government. Any violation of the guidelines will be punishable under section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
