After Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams temple in Andhra Pradesh, another ancient temple in the state, Kanipakam Vinayaka, will open its gates for devotees.

The temple management announced the opening of Kanipakam Vinayaka temple in Chittoor on Saturday.

The 11th Century temple was closed in wake of the coronavirus lockdown and will now open following social distancing and other laid norms of the government.

Kanipakam Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy Devasthanam has set up disinfectant tunnels at the entry points so that devotees can get disinfected automatically before they enter in the shrine premises.

Sufficient number of taps to facilitate hand have also been made available, while markings have been made to make devotees stand accordingly with a physical distance of six feet between each other.

Devotees from all across the country, apart from containment and red zone, can visit the Pandian era temple.
