HYDERABAD: In view of Covid-19 pandemic, many parents in the city seem to be worried about sending their children to schools immediately upon their reopening.
In a survey conducted by Hyderabad School Parents Association (HSPA), it has been revealed that 82 percent of parents are not ready to send their children to school until there is some cure or vaccine for the pandemic.
The findings of the survey also suggest that most schools are not complying to GO 46 which states that the schools shall not increase any kind of fees during academic year 2020-21 and shall charge only tuition fee on monthly basis till further orders in view of the hardships caused due to the lockdown.
“The GO also says that non-compliance of the instructions will result in cancellation of school recognition, revoking the No Objection Certificate already granted for affiliation to other boards and initiation of appropriate action against the school management under relevant Acts/Rules. Despite that, 60.6 percent of them said that their ward’s schools are not complying to the GO,” said a parent.
The survey also suggested that 99 per cent of schools are charging the entire fee along with tution fee and other charges.
