No new covid19 cases, one patient remains at Home of Football

ONLY one, non-bedridden covid19 patient remains at the Home of Football step-down facility in Balmain, Couva. There were no new recorded cases overnight, leaving the number of confirmed cases at 117.

In its 10 am release on Saturday, the Health Ministry said five new samples were sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the University of the West Indies (UWI) for testing overnight. The total number of samples sent is now 3,330. From that total, 2,874 were unique patient tests and 456 were repeated tests.

The remaining patient is the case reported last Saturday, who came from a family of three that had recently come into the country. The death toll remains at eight.
