NEW DELHI: Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain on Friday said that there was no shortage of beds for Covid-19 patients in city hospitals.
"There are some misleading reports that there is a shortage of beds for Covid-19 patients in Delhi because a few private hospitals are refusing admissions. The truth is, there is absolutely no shortage of beds in Delhi at the moment," he said.

The Delhi health minister further said, "The issue is that some hospitals are not updating data on Delhi Corona app on time or misrepresenting actual data when patients call. Patients were not getting data on hospitals, which the app is trying to fix. We're making hospital bed data real-time soon."

Delhi reported 25 coronavirus deaths on Friday. With 1,330 new positive cases in 24 hrs, total number of cases in the national capital has reached 26,334, including 708 deaths.
