Tedesco was a late scratching in his side’s 59-0 win over Brisbane on Thursday night after becoming the first player to be ruled out of a match due to a high fever since the resumption of the competition. The Dally M medallist failed a temperature check under the code’s biosecurity rules and was immediately sent for a coronavirus test. The result came back negative on Friday.
The premiers didn’t miss their star player at Suncorp Stadium, handing the Broncos the biggest defeat in the club’s history. Brett Morris filled in capably at fullback, in a result that heaps pressure on Brisbane coach Anthony Seibold.
Canterbury also had some good news when a COVID-19 test for Terry Lamb also came back clear.
The club legend was captured on camera breaching social-distancing rules by shaking hands with several players, including star playmaker Kieran Foran, on Thursday.
Bulldogs chief executive Andrew Hill acknowledged the club had "done the wrong thing".

"As a club we have worked hard to adhere to all NRL protocols around getting the game re-started and we acknowledge the tremendous work that has gone on to get us playing again," Hill said.
"[Thursday's] breach was a case of Terry making a mistake in trying to wish players all the best and breaking the protocols set out around the bubble.
"We acted swiftly to inform the NRL and to get Terry tested straight away and with his results showing a clean bill of health, we will now revise our processes to make sure that this never happens again."
The Bulldogs cancelled a planned media session and have been told not to train until the result is known. The club is facing the prospect of a fine for a breach of biosecurity protocols.
