Noida/Ghaziabad:
Ghaziabad on Thursday reported 25 new
Covid-19 cases, said officials, adding that the total number now stands at 278.
Two Ghaziabad residents died of Covid-19 at
LLRM Medical College in
Meerut on Wednesday; however, the
health department has confirmed only one death.
Health officials said a 65-year-old man from Daulatpura was brought to the Medical College on Tuesday night. He was
diabetic and diagnosed with pneumonia and died the next day. With this, the number of
deaths in the district stands at eight. Apart from this, a 46-year-old man from Vijay Nagar was also brought to the Medical College on Tuesday evening, who too died on the next day.
Seven cases were reported from Khoda, four from Indirapuram, two from Loni and one each from Ram Grahi, Daulatpura, Vaishali, Daulat ram Colony, Shastri Nagar, Nandgram, Modinagar, Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik, Sanjay Nagar and Vasundhara
On the other hand, Gautam Budh Nagar on Thursday reported 22 new cases following which the total number now stands at 587.
The cases include two more health workers from Sector 31 and GIMS hostel testing positive, they said. Other cases include one patient each from Sectors 19, 20, 36, 40, 49, 50, 29, 5, 48, 17, Salarpur Bhangel village, Beta 1 and Delta 1 in Greater Noida, Mahagun Moderne in Sector 79, Nagla Charandas village, Omicron in Greater Noida, Surajpur, Chitara village, Rampur village.
Meanwhile, the total recovered patients in the district remained 348 with a
recovery rate of 59%.
Active cases increased to 187, highest in the state till now.
Health camps were organised at 12 places in the district, added officials.
