ULHASNAGAR: The numbers of coronavirus patients in
Ulhasnagar has reached close to 500. The city on Friday witnessed highest 40 patients in last 24 hours and three deaths taking total numbers of patients to 482 in region including 30 deaths so far.
As per press note issued by health department of
Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC) out of total 482 patients so far, 206 patients taking treatment at different hospitals have got cured while remaining 256 active patients are still taking treatment in different hospitals.
On Friday out of 40 new patients maximum 9 patients were reported from Anand Nagar slum, 7 patients reported from
Vashanshah Darbar and 6 patients reported from Sambhaji chowck area.
Meanwhile after over two months of lockdown, all markets and shops in Ulhasnagar opened from Friday, going by the standard operation protocol of the Maharashtra government.
However despite many restrictions on first day of relaxation, heavy rush was seen on shops and also traffic was observed in city.
The relaxation meanwhile has brought some happiness to the shopkeepers who were worried about their livelihood since shops were closed for over two months due to lockdown.
During time at many places shops and customers were seen maintaining social distancing while at some places due to heavy rush of customers social distancing was seen violated by both shopkeepers and customers.
