UT appoints team to handle fee complaints

CHANDIGARH: To quickly process complaints filed by parents to fee regulatory authority, formed under the Punjab Regulation of Fee of Unaided Educational Institutions Act, 2016, applicable in Chandigarh too, education department has assigned duties to officials.

These officials will process the complaints and forward those needing attention to the fee regulatory body. Deputy director of school education, Anujit Kaur, will be the overall in charge until the day she retires. Thereafter, Alka Mehta, at present the district education officer, will be the overall in charge.
According to the order issued by the director of school education Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Seema Sharma, assistant controller (F & A), along with section officers Lekhraj and Sandeep Sethi, will examine balance sheets, income and expenditure statements of each school and submit a brief report for school. They will then present details of each case of complaint before the regulatory body in the meeting. Accounts branch will be the nodal branch for fee regulatory authority, the order reads.
