Representative image. HUBBALLI: A middle-aged man who escaped from the quarantine facility in the Gadag city on Friday morning was nabbed by the Koppal police in Bhanapur village in the evening.
Gadag deputy commissioner MG Hiremath told TOI that the man came to Gadag from Mumbai in Mumbai-Gadag Express train. He escaped from the facility on Friday morning, the incident came to light when the quarantine in charge went to his room. The man is mentally unstable and he has already tested negative to the novel infection and he would be sent to DIMHANS Hospital in Dharwad for treatment.
Sources said that man loitered in the crowded places in Gadag and later went to Bhanapur village and finally nabbed by the police.
