Thane: Bodies of two waiters found in water tank of Mira Road restobar

MUMBAI: The bodies of two male staff were found in the water tank of a restaurant-cum-bar at Mira Road on Thursday night.
The bodies were fished out of the tank after the owner of Shabari got foul smell from the restaurant. The Mira Road police fished out the bodies of Naresh Pandit (52) and Haresh Shetty (48). They worked as waiters in the restaurant located in Sheetal Nagar on MTNL road. The bodies had stab injuries.
The police were informed about the foul smell at around 10.30pm. Police searched the premises and found the bodies in water tank.
The restaurant that was shut during lockdown had just opened for take away.
Staff and owner are being questioned. A case of murder has been registered against unknown person.
