BY Vijayendra (File photo)MYSURU: A day after opposition leader Siddaramaiah accused chief minister BS Yediyurappa’s son BY Vijayendra of running the show, ministers R Ashoka and ST Somashekhar hit back and asked if the former’s son had been interfering in the administration when he was CM.
“Was your son eating puffed rice when you were the CM? Stop making such false allegations,” cooperation minister ST Somashekhar told Siddaramaiah.
He claimed Vijayendra was not interfering in governance and transfers of officials. “Opposition parties are carrying out a misinformation campaign against him. It’s been three months since I became minister, but I never faced a situation wherein I was asked to meet Vijayendra over any matter. Similar is the experience of other ministers too,” Somashekhar said.
In Madikeri, Ashoka alleged it was during Siddaramaiah’s tenure that other people controlled the administration. “Yediyurappa is capable enough to run the state and no other person is controlling things,” he said.
