Jamia Millia Islamia to open its offices with 50 per cent staff, reports PTI
In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Jamia Millia Islamia has said its offices would be opened with 50 per cent staff and asked employees above 60 years to work from home. In an office order issued on Thursday, the varsity said employees who reside in the containment zones will work from home until their area is removed from the category by the government.

Indian Navy ship INS Jalashwa will sail from Colombo Port on Friday with approximately 700 Indians nationals, who have been stranded owing to Covid-related travel restrictions, under the second phase of Operation 'Samudra Setu' as a part of the "Vande Bharat" mission. INS Jalashwa arrived at anchorage last night alongside berth in Port of Male, Maldives.
Singapore's finance minister said its unemployment rate could rise to a record of over 100,000 in 2020 due to fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic, reports Reuters.

A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, SK Kaul and MR Shah was informed by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta that till June 3, over 4,200 ‘Shramik Special' trains have been deployed to transport migrant workers to their native places.
SC lawyer Ranjit Kumar, appearing for Bihar, tells the court around 28 lakh people have returned to Bihar, reports ANI.

Union Health Ministry issues guidelines for safe ENT practice
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued guidelines for safe ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) medical practice to minimise the spread of COVID-19 infection among ENT doctors, nursing staff, support staff, patients and their attendants. The ministry stated that COVID-19 suspect patients should be treated in a separate ward for coronavirus patients, and should be shifted to ENT ward only after confirmation of COVID negative status.

"Around 2 lakh workers are still in Delhi. They are choosing not to go back. Less than 10,000 workers have expressed desire to go back to their native places," Mehta said.
