Man crushed to death by pole in Altona industrial accident

A man has been killed in a horrific industrial accident in Altona North.

It is believed the man was unloading a truck on Chambers Road when a metal pole crushed him about 4.20pm on Friday, according to Victoria Police.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

Footage of the scene shows the accident occured in a shipping container yard.
