Six teams set up to monitor Gurgaon’s Covid response

Gurgaon: Specific aspects of the city’s Covid-19 response have now been assigned to top officials in the administration. The order was issued on Thursday, the day Gurgaon saw its biggest one-day spike to reach 1,510 cases.
“Covid-19 cases are increasing by the day. Divisional commissioner Ashok Sangwan has designated responsibilities to various senior officers to contain the spread,” said a district official.
Sonal Goel, CEO of GMBCL, will lead a team responsible for supervision of government health facilities for bed and ventilator management. On her team are Kulbir Dhaka, CEO of Zila Parishad, and Vivek Kalia, estate officer of HSVP-II. They will also be responsible for management of beds in private hospitals requisitioned by the government.
Administrator of HSVP Jitender Yadav will lead a team responsible for monitoring contact tracing, all public health centres for contact tracing by rapid response teams, facilitation of those teams, compilation of contact tracing data and sampling high-risk contacts. He will be assisted by Bharat Bhushan Gogia, estate officer, HSVP-I.
Ambulance fleet management will be supervised by Anju Chaudhary, divisional commissioner of Gurgaon, assisted by Anu, GM, roadways. MCG additional commissioner Jaspreet Kaur, assisted by MCG medical officer Dr Ashish Singla, will liaison with labs to ensure data is updated, contact labs to confirm cases, forward them to PHCs for contact tracing, release the daily bulletin and report the list of cases.
After that is done, ADC Prashant Pawar will take over. Assisted by two IAS officers Aparajita and Hitesh, he will ensure the contact tracing data is uploaded, refer cases that need hospitalisation, call home isolation cases and those in paid and free quarantine facilities for a daily update.
