Private hospitals have fixed their fees to a limit after allegations of costly treatment for Corona patients. Now the patients will not have to pay a peep-no-no fee. The Association of Healthcare Providers (India), after discussing with hospitals in 21 states, has fixed the Kovid treatment amount which includes a maximum fee of Rs 35,000 per day. The fees have been fixed by dividing the Kovid treatment into four stages.
If a patient is admitted to the general ward, more than 15 thousand rupees will not be able to be taken. If a patient is in a ward with oxygen, then 20 and isolation ICU has fixed a maximum fee of Rs 25 thousand. If the patient is in Isolation ICU and has the condition of a ventilator, then the maximum fee is fixed at 35 thousand rupees. These do not include the expense of medicines such as immunoglobulin, tocilizumab, plasma therapy.
Association President Dr. Alexander Thomas said that apart from the increase in Kovid patients, complaints were being received about non-transparency in treatment costs in private hospitals. In such a situation, the idea has been that in this era of Kovid epidemic, fees in hospitals should be fixed. That is why the fees have been determined after the mutual consent of the operators of all the private hospitals across the country associated with the association.
