'Pastry as the base, the bacon wrapped around the sides and same with the cheese, I just cut it to size... the eggs I bought were too big so I had to drain some yolk before adding to the filling,' he said.
'I can safely say craving satisfied.'
The delicious concoction didn't require any pre-cooking before the father placed everything in the iconic pie maker.
'I mentioned draining some whites from the eggs to add to each pie as I thought it was too much but it turns out it helps the yolk from cooking too much,' he continued.

The man recommended buying smaller eggs from the supermarket rather than the 'jumbo' size for this reason.
Members of the cookery Facebook group he posted to were excited to try the recipe themselves, particularly as the temperature cools off Down Under.
'Thanks for the awesome idea, gave it a try this morning. Didn't come here to check, I just did it from memory so didn't realise you did them topless... though this was delish too,' one man said, showing off his pastry-topped version.

'These would be delicious with bread too! Egg and bacon on toast,' said another.
A third added: 'I did the same this morning only with no pastry and added sundried tomato and shallots, yum!'.
