Mumbai: Central Railway identifies 17 'vulnerable' locations for waterlogging

MUMBAI: Central Railway has identified 17 'vulnerable' locations for water-logging during heavy rain and provided more than 140 pumps.
The 'vulnerable' locations on the Main line include Masjid, Currey Road, Sion, Kurla, Thane, Dombivli. On the Harbour line, the spots include Sewri, Wadala, Chunabhatti, Koparkhairane.
CR's chief PRO Shivaji Sutar said 113km of drains have been de-silted and cleaned on the suburban section.
Also, 18 tunnels were scanned for boulders between Kasara and Igatpuri.
