AMBALA: Six new positive cases of Covid-19, including two females and four males, were reported in the Ambala district of
Haryana on Friday, civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh said.
“Six persons were reported positive on Friday, including a girl (9) of Hanuman Colony, Barara town; a woman (75) of Khateek Mandi, Ambala Cantonment both with travel history from Delhi; a man (27) of Taparia village who came from Andhra Pradesh; a man (28) from Mullana village came from Karnataka; a man (31) of Kajiwara, Ambala City who returned from Dubai was under a quarantine facility since his arrival here, and sixth is a man (21) of Naraingarh who works in Kala Amb areas in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh (HP). The samples of these patients were collected in three days on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday,” he said.
“All these patients have been isolated at MMU Hospital, Mullana for treatment,” said Dr Kuldeep Singh.
“All of them have travel histories from other states and we are checking every possible resident who is arriving from outside high-risk areas,” said Dr Kuldeep.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 positive cases in Ambala district reached 76, out of which, 43 patients got discharged from hospital isolation, two patients died and now 31 are active cases, said Dr Kuldeep.
