Uttar Pradesh: Boy shoots dead stepdad, mom files FIR

LUCKNOW: A class X student, along with his three aides, allegedly shot dead his stepfather in Kadipur police station area of Sultanpur on Tuesday evening.
The accused boy’s mother lodged an FIR against him on early Wednesday. The four accused are on the run.
Police said that the 40-year-ol victim was a native of Bakshpur Mithnepur in Kadipur. He sustained a gunshot injury and was also attacked with a sharp-edged object on the head.
According to the police, he had a court marriage with a widow of Chaturpur village in 2019. The woman's husband had passed away sometime back and she has a 15-year-old son from her first marriage who studies in Class X.
Accused had thrice tried to kill Punit: Cops
The son was unhappy with this alliance as his father had died of a heart attack and barely a month later his mother married this man,” said SHO, Kadipur, Shyam Narayan Pandey.
Pandey said since then the teenage boy used to stay late outside home with his friends.
The SHO said that the woman tried to persuade her son to accept the victim as his father but in vain.
The boy would often blame him for his father’s death and the duo often had arguement over this, police said.
In the past too, the accused had thrice tried to kill Punit, police said.
On Tuesday evening, when the victim was riding pillion with his younger brother, they were intercepted by the accused boy and his three aides.
“The four accused hit the duo with iron rod after which the victim's brother escaped from the spot. Later, they allegedly shot hime dead,” said SHO on the basis of FIR registered by the the accused's mother.
After allgedly killing his stepfather, the boy ran to his mother's house and narrated the incident to her. Police said two teams have been formed to nab the accused.
Pandey said the victim ran a general store in the village. TOI tried to speak to the his widown but she did not respond.
