JAMMU: Continuing with their counter-insurgency operations, security forces late on Wednesday evening busted a terrorist hideout in a natural cave in the forest area of Chhachchha in Kishtwar district and recovered arms and ammunition from the place. However, no militant was found hiding there. Police said that following a specific intelligence input, a team of J&K police, 17 Rastriya Rifles (RR), and 52nd Battalion of CRPF launched a joint operation in Chhachchha forest area and after hectic search succeeded in locating the hideout. “Security forces recovered one AK-56 rifle, one magazine with 27 rounds, one under-barrel grenade launcher, one 9 mm pistol and one pistol magazine with six rounds,” police said. The local police registered a case at Kishtwar and further investigations are on.
