MCG meet to be held via video call

Gurgaon: After a gap of more than one month, the MCG has called a House meeting through video conferencing on June 8 at 11am. However, some councillors have objected to the mode of meeting.
They have written to the MCG commissioner to convene a meeting at John Hall ensuring the social distancing norms. According to the sources, MCG commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh is not in favour of this and has suggested for a meeting through video conferencing which will ensure safety from Covid-19.
“We are of the opinion that a physical meeting can be conducted if we ensure social distancing,” said RS Rathee, councillor, ward number 34.
The MCG commissioner said that physical meeting can be conducted only by June end or July, provided cases come under control.
