FALL RIVER -- Twenty-five new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Fall River on Wednesday, bringing the city's total to 1,363.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the city's total at 55.

Statewide on Wednesday, 429 new cases and 68 new deaths were reported, bringing those totals to 101,592 cases and 7,152 deaths, according to Massachusetts Department of Public Health data.

The number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 rose slightly on Wednesday by 27 cases, to 1,684.

Bristol County recorded 73 new cases, bringing its total to 7,453. Across the county, 441 people have died due to COVID-19.

The number of patients hospitalized at Charlton Memorial Hospital rose slightly to 83, with 20 of those in intensive care.

Statewide, 55,429 people have completed quarantine for the coronavirus, and 8,781 were under quarantine, as of Wednesday.

The state on Wednesday also released its weekly town-by-town updates and nursing home reports.

As of Wednesday, Somerset stood at 197 total cases (about 1.1 cases per 100 people); Swansea, 126 (about .8 cases per 100 people); and Westport, 87 (about .5 cases per 100 people).

Fall River's case rate was 1.5 per 100 people.

Deaths have now been reported at five separate Fall River nursing homes.

Southpointe Rehab & Skilled Nursing, 100 Amity St., which has 152 licensed beds, had reported 12 COVID-19 deaths and more than 30 cases as of Wednesday, according to Mass. DPH data.

Fall River Healthcare, 1748 Highland Ave. (formerly the Highlander), which has 176 beds, also had reported 12 COVID-19 deaths and more than 30 cases.

Kimwell Nursing & Rehab, 495 New Boston Road, which has 124 beds, had reported 11 deaths and more than 30 cases.

Carvalho Grove Health and Rehab Center, 273 Oak Grove Ave., which has 112 beds, reported 1-4 deaths and 1-10 cases.

Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., which has 300 beds, had reported no deaths and 1-10 cases.

Fall River Jewish Home, 538 Robeson St., which has 62 beds, had reported no deaths and 1-10 cases.

Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center, 901 N. Main St., which has 183 beds, reported 1-4 deaths and more than 30 cases.
