Due to the global epidemic Kovid-19, the draft of the plan to connect the returning youth and migrant laborers to employment has been prepared. The draft has been named Vocal for Local under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's self-reliant India. Data on skill-manning of migrant laborers will be collected by the district magistrates of the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, etc. by June. On Tuesday, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mahendranath Pandey has also held an online meeting with the officials.

Based on this skill mapping, employment information will be collected in local areas. Based on that, from July first or the first week of August, their skills will be developed on an employment basis. The special thing is that in the draft there will be a system of providing employment to the migrant laborers in their home.

According to the senior official, the Union Ministry of Skill Development has prepared a draft to re-engage the migrant laborers. In this, skill mapping data of migrant laborers are being collected from the state governments first. What type of employment opportunities are available in the respective states. Through this, training will be given to these migrant laborers and youth in various states. Some will already be trending, but now they will also get a certificate. It will be easy to get employment through this. A special portal is also being prepared for this.

If a migrant laborer wants to return to the metros and cities again after the state of Corona and economy recover, then such laborers will be trained. After this, all these workers will be registered for the first time on a special skill portal so that all information related to their employment will be available with the government. At present, there is no official data available to such laborers with the state and the center.

Agriculture, Health Sector, Pharma Emerging Sector

On this matter, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mahendra Nath Pandey said, "Under the Prime Minister's self-reliant India, we have to boost the domestic economy. After COVID-19, agriculture, health, pharma, etc. sectors will be jobs in the emerging sector in the coming time. In addition to making a Make in India product under self-reliant India, work is also being done on employment opportunities in many new sectors. "

Mahendra Nath Pandey further said, "The training related to them will start on the basis of skill-manning of residents. They will be registered on the skill portal, so that in case of any such calamity in the future, then there is no crisis on their livelihood. Ho."
