Try these simple recipes at home to get the ultimate cooler with the limited ingredients available in your pantry
As we enter the last leg of summer, it's important we enjoy all the frozen desserts, mangoes and of course, refreshing summer drinks to make most of the season. Vogue asked chef and restaurateur Rahul Akerkar of Qualia and chef Zoheb Qureshi from Cross Border Kitchens to share refreshing drink recipes that you can make at home.
4 slices pickled Bhavnagri chilli
20ml agave syrup
30ml lime juice
45ml pineapple juice
45ml water, chilled

Muddle the Bhavnagri chilli.

Add the remaining ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well.

Double strain in the takeaway container

Serve chilled.
45ml blood orange puree
30ml lime juice
20ml sugar syrup
120ml prepared berry-based tea
Fresh mint sprigs, few just tap and add

Add all the ingredients in the shaker.

8 tbsp Rooh Afza syrup
1l water, chilled
Sugar to taste
16 fresh basil leaves
24 pieces aloe vera, peeled and diced

In a bowl, mix Rooh Afza syrup, sugar and water till sugar dissolves.

Finely chop eight of the basil leaves and add to the mix.

Pour the mix into a glass and stir.

Take tall glasses and add aloe vera pieces in each glass.

Garnish with a sprig of basil.

Serve chilled.
2 whole dry turmeric pieces, soaked overnight
6 tbsp lime juice
4 tbsp sugar syrup
1⁄4 tbsp black pepper, ground
1⁄2 tbsp roasted cumin powder, ground
¾ tbsp black salt, ground

Grind the soaked turmeric into a paste.

In a glass, add paste, sugar syrup, lime juice and powdered spices.
