Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj on Wednesday revealed that he has tested negative for coronavirus.

“Did a COVID-19 test and the results are negative. Will still be completing quarantine before returning home. Stay safe and take care all (sic),” said Prithviraj while sharing his COVID lab report with his followers on Twitter.

Prithviraj went into quarantine soon after he reached Kochi from Jordan on May 22. He is currently staying at a hotel to complete the mandatory quarantine period of 14 days to check if he develops any symptoms of COVID-19. The actor will be in the clear to join his family by the end of this week.

Prithviraj, director Blessy and a team of more than 50 crew members flew to Jordan earlier this year to shoot some important sequences for Aadujeevitham at Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. Days after they landed at their destination, the world went into lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus. However, the star and his crew members remained safe given that everyone on the team was healthy, there was a doctor available at the location, and they were already in an isolated place, reducing the chances of coming into contact with new people.

Even as the entire film industry back home came to a complete standstill, Aadujeevitham shoot progressed in Jordan. But, the members of the film crew had their own share of challenges before they completed the shoot.

On May 22, all members of the Aadujeevitham cast and crew were flown to Kochi via Delhi from Amman by a repatriation flight, which was part of India’s Vande Bharat effort to bring back its citizens stranded abroad.
