As per the latest update, those candidates who have not applied for KARTET 2019 exam earlier or candidates who completed the application process but have not paid the application fee can now register or make the payment until June 11, 2020.

Karnataka School Education Department, has extended the last date to apply and make fee payment for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2019. As per the latest update, those candidates who have not applied for KARTET 2019 exam earlier or candidates who completed the application process but have not paid the application fee can now register or make the payment until June 11, 2020.
The online registration and application process for Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) – 2019 started on January 25, 2020. The exam was initially scheduled to be held on March 15, 2020, however, the exam was postponed to April 12, 2020, due to nationwide lockdown following the coronavirus outbreak. The exam was further postponed as the lockdown was extended further.
The revised date for the Karnataka TET 2019 examination is expected to be released soon on the official website of the test.
Meanwhile, the candidates who have not yet registered for the exam or have registered but not paid the exam fee are advised to visit the official website of the test and complete the process by June 11, 2020.

The Karnataka TET 2019 is held for two papers - Paper I and Paper II. Check the details below:
A candidate can choose to appear for one of these two paper or both papers.
KARTET-2019 exam format
All questions in KARTET test will be of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives. Out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
Paper-I (for teaching classes I to V)
Duration of examination: Two-and-half hours.
Paper II (for teaching classes VI to VIII)
Duration of examination: Two-and-half hours

Karnataka TET 2019 exam format and important topics
The Karnataka TET 2019 is held for two papers - Paper I and Paper II. Check the details below:
- Paper I test is for candidates who wish to qualify for teaching posts for Classes 1 – 5. Candidates who wish to apply for Karnataka TET Paper-I must have PUC/ Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known)/ 4th year B.El.Ed/ 2- year D.Ed (Special Education)/ BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in Final-year of 2-year D.Ed (by whatever name known).
- KARTET Paper II is conducted for candidates who wants to teach Classes 6 – 8. Eligibility for this paper is B.A/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known)/ 2-year B.Ed/ 4-year B.El.Ed/ Final-year B.Ed (Special Education)/ PUC / Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
