Hospitalisation a must in Gujarat for Covid testing
Issuing a fresh notification on Tuesday, the Gujarat government has made hospitalisation mandatory for coronavirus testing, a move that drew strong opposition from the medical fraternity. The notification came following the Gujarat high court order, directing the government to allow testing of pre-operative patients and give approval to private laboratories for Covid-19 testing for symptomatic people.
No mandatory quarantine for Bihar migrants
Migrant workers returning to Bihar will not have to undergo the mandatory 14-day institutional quarantine any more, as the movement of people has opened across the country, a state government official said on Tuesday, a move that can lead to further spurt in Covid-19 cases. Read full story
