No bail for Tobago father on gun, ganja charge

A father and son appeared in court on Tuesday charged for possession of a gun, ammunition and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Businessman Lyscott Williams, 60, and his son Mawuto Cummings, 35, a groundsman with the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, appeared before Magistrate Indrani Cedeno at the Scarborough magistrates court.
According to police, Shirvan Road officers and the Tobago Divisional Task Force searched the Courland Bush Trace, Black Rock home of the men on May 31 and found a pistol, six rounds of ammunition and over 900 grammes of marijuana. Williams was denied bail as he has previous convictions. Cummings was granted $400,000 bail. They will reappear in court on June 9.
