Work on Kalwa field hospital starts

THANE: Work on a field hospital with 450-500 beds capacity started on Tuesday at the irrigation ground in Kalwa.
Cabinet minister for housing, Jitendra Awhad, who took the initiative to develop this facility through Mhada said that it will have 150 units with ventilators, 250 with oxygen and the remaining will be regular beds.
The hospital is scheduled to start operations in the next few weeks, said Awhad on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the minister appealed to doctors and para-medical staff from his constituency to get associated with this facility and help put up a fight against Covid-19.
