A video grab showing the unemployed youth intercepting Telangana CM's convoyHYDERABAD: An unemployed youth, who suddenly intercepted Telangana chief minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao's convoy at Gun Park, was whisked away by security personnel on Tuesday morning. The youth from Devarakonda was trying to request the chief minister for employment and a government double-bedroom house.
The incident happened when the chief minister went to pay tributes at Martyr's Memorial in Gun Park on Telangana Formation Day.
The chief minister's convoy arrived at Gun Park at around 8.38am and after paying tributes to martyrs, chief minister got into the vehicle to leave the place at around 8.45am.
As the convoy was leaving, J Hanumanthu, an unemployed youth from Mallepally village in Devarakonda mandal of Nalgonda district, suddenly came in front of chief minister's vehicle from assembly's Osmania Gate.
"Raising Jai Telangana slogans, Hanumanthu appealed to CM to provide him justice before he was whisked away by taskforce personnel," a police official said.
Saifabad police are questioning Hanumanthu, who stood along with GHMC workers to avoid suspicion. "Hanumanthu said that he failed to clear the entrance exam for SI posts. He lost his parents and currently staying alone," Saifabad police said.
Mayor B Rammohan, MP J Santosh Kumar, Jubilee Hills MLA, M Gopinath, chief secretary Somesh Kumar and DGP M Mahendar Reddy attended the event.
