Taking an important decision, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has now given in-principle consent to investigate the suicide case by Vishnu Dutt Vishnoi, the officer of the Rajgarh police station of Churu district.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken such a decision after reviewing the entire development of the episode with senior officials on Monday. Earlier, a delegation had met CM Gehlot and demanded a fair inquiry into the matter.

During the meeting, Ashok Gehlot expressed condolences and grief over the untimely departure of a capable police officer. On this occasion, the officials apprised them that the matter is being investigated impartially by the CID-CB branch of the state police. Significantly, the officer of Rajgarh Police Station, Vishnu Dutt Vishnoi committed suicide on 23 May.
