IMED Digital Hub helps faculty, students upgrade skills during lockdown

PUNE: Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED) organised around 60 webinars and workshops on different subjects to enable staff and students to upgrade knowledge and skills through IMED Digital Hub. Representatives from the institute also stated that free online courses were also organised.


According to Dean of Faculty of Management Sciences, BVDU, Sachin Vernekar, there is no lockdown for learning. "We utilized the period to upgrade knowledge and skills. Webinars of HR, COVID-29, behavioural skills, cyber security, artificial intelligence, online marketing, stress management, innovation and creativity and others were held," he said.

Vernekar stated that 3,500 students and faculty from Bharati Vidyapeeth registered for online courses offered by universities, institutes and companies like Harvard, MIT, Berkeley, IIT Bombay, IIM Bangalore, IBM and others, offered by IMED through edX platform. "The students get a course and assessment completion certification from these renowned institutions," he said.
