Nitin Gadkari agreed to amend Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway: Harsimrat Badal

BATHINDA: Union minister and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Tuesday said that Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari has acceded to her request to amend the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway alignment to create a new direct link between Amritsar and Delhi, besides creating a Sikh circuit connecting five major Sikh shrines, which was a long pending demand of Sikhs.
She said that Nitin Gadkari has also assured her to name the new Expressway in the honour of Guru Sahiban. The expressway will connect five historic Sikh shrines at Sultanpur Lodhi, Goindwal Sahib, Khadoor Sahib, Tarn Taran and Amritsar. It will prove to be historic issue for Sikhs living worldwide besides ensuring developmental activity in the Amritsar area.
