Maharashtra HSC, SSC results 2020 likely to be announced in the first week of July

As the country has started to relax various lockdown rules, the Board is now working towards declaring the results by the first week of July.
MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is preparing to announce the results of the Maharashtra HSC (class 12) and Maharashtra SSC (class 10) results 2020 by the first week of July 2020.

The Maharashtra Board Results are usually released in the month of May-June, however, this year, the assessment of HSC and SSC papers has been delayed due to nationwide lockdown following the COVID-19 pandemic. Maharahtra is the worst affected state in India due to coronavirus infection.

Earlier, the education department has said since there are no means to send the papers to examiners, work will resume only after the lockdown ends.

The education department had permitted HSC and SSC examiners to carry answer sheets home to ensure assessment could continue. Earlier, in the month of May 2020, the High Court has directed the Board to release state board exam results by June 10, 2020. As the country has started to relax various lockdown rules, the Board is now working towards declaring the results by the first week of July.

This year, over 13 lakh students have taken the HSC exams and 17 lakh students have taken the SSC exams across the state.

Last year, the Maharashtra SSC Result 2019 was released on June 8 on its official website mahresult.nic.in.

The MSBSHSE had released the Maharashtra HSC result 2019 on May 28 in which over 85.88 per cent students were declared pass.
